Month: December 2018

Oh Lord, I am so grateful to study about Your coming to this earth. It is refreshing to know that You were born of a virgin and came to save us all from our sins. You could see that we were all in trouble, therefore, You took upon Yourself the weight of our sins, that we could find freedom. You were born and lived a perfect life. However, evil people despised You, my Lord, and lifted You up on a cross. Though it was necessary for our salvation, it would have been so difficult to see You go through this and die. Surely, You paid the price for all our sins and did it all because of Your love for us all. I will never understand everything You've done for me but always know that Your grace is sufficient for me. I know that Your mercy endures forever and that was shown by the sacrifice You made for us all. I am so grateful for the cross. I am so grateful for Your birth and Your desire to free us from bondage. You are my King and I give You my life and my whole heart. I love You Lord. Amen.

2 Samuel 22:1-3 (KJV)
1 And David spake unto the Lord the words of this song in the day that the Lord had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul:
2 And he said, The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

Lord God, it truly is a miracle that You were born of a virgin. This was a miraculous event indeed. All the angels surely were rejoicing on this great day. Only You could allow this to take place. And to know that You prophesied of it 700 years ago to Ahaz is amazing. Your prophesies are true and they always come to pass, especially this one. Your birth was the most amazing event to take place. Nobody will or ever forget the day that You, my Lord, came into the world. Lives have been and will forever be changed because of it. I am so grateful that You came, dear God. Because of this knowledge, my life is different. There is no more shame but love. You have scattered all the darkness and ushered in Your light. Because You came down and bore our sins on the cross, I have freedom from sin. There is no more chains, for You are my shield. I give You all the glory for what You have done in my life. I am rescued by You, my Messiah and King. You are my Savior and whom I look to in faith. I love You Lord. Amen.

Isaiah 7:14-16 (KJV)
14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
15 Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.
16 For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.

Isaiah 9:6-7 (KJV)
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

Oh Lord, I am so grateful to know that You have come to save us from our sins. Thank You Lord. Thank You for Your mercy and grace. The people looked to a Messiah and You fulfilled their every wish. The Lord, whom they praised and adored did come. You are our Savior and Lord. I know that my salvation relies upon You. For You are the Mighty God, who saves. No one else has the power to save us. My heart and soul relies on You, my Wonderful Counselor. You are my Everlasting Father and I am so grateful to be allowed into Your fold. You are my God and I am Your son. Have Your way in my life, Lord. Lead me and guide me. Give me the counsel I need, in order to do what is right. Help me fight against temptation that I may be more than a conqueror. Usher in Your peace into my life and the lives of my family and friends. May Your light shine down upon me that I may go forth and be Your witness. I will go and do as You command. You are the light of my life and only You can bring me the happiness and joy that I need. I love You God. Amen.
