The Realization Of A Fool

When people are foolish, they also do and say things that are outrageous to the wise but perfectly sound to them. In their own mind, they got it all down pat. The lessons they have learned in life has helped them become the person they are today. And great knowledge has come with it. Therefore, talking with such a person can be difficult, because they believe they know so much already. It isn’t until that person becomes humble will they ever learn something new, especially if it is from God. And most of all, without the Holy Spirit, your words will not take shape in their hearts. It is God that does the convicting and when you understand this, you will become wise in God. Even the way you approach people will be different, when the Lord is with you. The way you carry yourself around people will be noticed and even asked about. This will spark good conversations to take place. As God’s saving grace can be mentioned. To such a person that is lost but has been open to the message of hope, the Holy Spirit will then come inside of them and pierce their heart. They may not tell you right away about the impact you have made but as it stirs in their heart, the seeds will begin to sprout. One day, they could be walking some place or driving home and then BLAMMO, everything your conversation will click. Then they will realize that they were a fool and need a Savior.

For a person to become saved, they need to first realize that they are a sinner and need Jesus. Without their need for a Savior, they will continue to be lost until death. However, when the gospel message hits home, it is game over for Satan, for God has come to the rescue. This is when the fool will see that they were foolish and tell others about it as well. Solomon spoke of this, when he said, 1“when he that is a fool walketh by the way, his wisdom faileth him, and he saith to every one that he is a fool.” It is awesome to see people admit to their mistakes but this can only take place when a realization of their wrongs happens first. Without this, these lost people will continue doing and believing what they believe is right, although it is not lifesaving. As Solomon said, 1“there is an evil which I have seen under the sun” and it is how fast people are to ignore the good news gospel, when it is what they need to hear, in order to fully come to Jesus and be saved. People are so quick to judge and are in such a rush to even know the truth of God. It is like the hearts of people are closed off to God and it will take a surgeon to open them up to the Lord again. Surely, as Solomon said, 1“he that diggeth a pit shall fall into it;” and if they never get out, their destination will be set. In death, they will find themselves in hell. May God open these people to the truth before time is up.

Let us pray:
Lord, come and fill us with the Holy Spirit. Help us become a light to this generation. Give us boldness to share Your gospel truths and to not back down when the Spirit is convicting us to share. Fill our minds with wisdom that we may know what to say. Help us be patient with those people around us. And may your love fill every conversation. We don’t always know the right way to act or to say, but we know that when You are with us, it is all for Your good. You give us words to speak. As we open our mouths, Your words follow. Thank You Lord. Lead us to the lost. May we have good conversations that lead to Your saving grace. People needs to know that they are lost or they cannot be saved. I pray that we will be so bold as to explain this in a way that will help people understand that we are in a fallen world. There is nothing we can do to be saved but through Your sacrifice, Jesus. I pray that many people that are foolish now will gain Your wisdom. Then will they be made wise in God. I love You Lord. I trust in You. Amen.
