God Gives To the Foolish And Wise

God can see those who are living for Him or this world. However, only those in the Lord are truly joyful and have divine wisdom from above. As Solomon said, 1“God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit.” As you can see here, what God gives to His followers and the unbelievers are far different things. And for someone like myself that have experienced both of these things, I chose what God is giving me now as a believer than anytime else. In the past, there was pain, because of the amount of all my sins. I felt wicked and that God could never forgive a person such as I. I felt so foolish and could not find my way in life. For this reason, I felt like the person that Solomon described here, 1“the fool walketh in darkness”. For I was that fool that walked away from God. For this reason, my life was broken, although I cloaked it really well to everyone around me. But deep down I was not OK. Not one bit. However, I never forgot what I was taught about God. Although I had been feeling His wrath, a part from all that, I knew that the Lord God is also loving, kind and forgiving. God’s presence is what I needed to change my life.

While I pondered about God’s presence and everything I had done apart from Him, I felt so guilty. Deep down, I felt so foolish. I would say, “how did I ever let my life become like this”? And I understood what Solomon meant when he said, “then said I in my heart, As it happeneth to the fool, so it happeneth even to me; and why was I then more wise? Then I said in my heart, that this also is vanity.” He realized that what he gained in life, apart from God, led him nowhere but was all vanity in the long run. This was my life too. There was even a time, when I said as Solomon said, 1“I hated life”. This was all in that time that I walked in the world and did things I knew were evil. Every day that I looked at pornography, I knew that I was vial and wicked. However, in all my brokenness, I began to pray and ask the Lord God to forgive me. To not only have mercy for soul but to also break me free from my addictions. I had no power over the devil and his temptations but knew that God could do all things in my life. So I gave Jesus my heart and soul. And by the grace of God, He healed me. All my desires for the sexual sin nature was over. I give God praise for His healing in my life. As Solomon said, 1“I saw, that it was from the hand of God.” If you are in sin now, I encourage you to no longer bottle it up but give it all to God today.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray for the lost and the broken hearted. I know that so many people are living a life apart from You, Jesus, and it saddens me to the core. When I go on the streets and see so many people living their own lives and don’t want to hear Your message, this is heart breaking. However, I know that there is always somebody that is waiting and ready for Your message of hope. For You are preparing them. I am strengthened each time I can go out and find a person such as this that is ready to receive You, Jesus, into their lives. I pray that more people, each and every day, will discover You. May the darkness be scattered and Your light come inside of them. Come into their hearts and break those chains of addiction. Bring them out of a life of bondage and into Your love. May they experience Your joy that never ends. I know that what You have done for my life, You can do for anyone. As I was a wicked and vial sinner and You had compassion upon me, anyone can be forgiven. There is no one that is apart from Your love. You are our healer and can fix any problem in a person’s life. I trust in You, Lord. I love You. Amen.

1Ecclesiastes 2:14-26 (KJV)
14 The wise man’s eyes are in his head; but the fool walketh in darkness: and I myself perceived also that one event happeneth to them all.
15 Then said I in my heart, As it happeneth to the fool, so it happeneth even to me; and why was I then more wise? Then I said in my heart, that this also is vanity.
16 For there is no remembrance of the wise more than of the fool for ever; seeing that which now is in the days to come shall all be forgotten. And how dieth the wise man? as the fool.
17 Therefore I hated life; because the work that is wrought under the sun is grievous unto me: for all is vanity and vexation of spirit.
18 Yea, I hated all my labour which I had taken under the sun: because I should leave it unto the man that shall be after me.
19 And who knoweth whether he shall be a wise man or a fool? yet shall he have rule over all my labour wherein I have laboured, and wherein I have shewed myself wise under the sun. This is also vanity.
20 Therefore I went about to cause my heart to despair of all the labour which I took under the sun.
21 For there is a man whose labour is in wisdom, and in knowledge, and in equity; yet to a man that hath not laboured therein shall he leave it for his portion. This also is vanity and a great evil.
22 For what hath man of all his labour, and of the vexation of his heart, wherein he hath laboured under the sun?
23 For all his days are sorrows, and his travail grief; yea, his heart taketh not rest in the night. This is also vanity.
24 There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God.
25 For who can eat, or who else can hasten hereunto, more than I?
26 For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit.
