A Virtuous Spouse

It is so amazing when we can trust in our spouse and not have to worry about them cheating, for the virtue of God is in them. This type of person, is what we all need in marriage, for they help us become a better person. And how is this? Because their trust in the Lord God is able to rub off onto those who are around them. I can say this about my wife. She has kept her faith and trust in me, though I have let her down so many times. Forgiveness and mercy is always given to me, though I don’t always deserve it. Just like God forgives us and forgets the past, it is awesome to have a spouse that does the same. What a blessing she is in my life. I am blessed to be married to such a faithful women of God. When it comes to the worth of finding such a spouse that is faithful to you, the family and God, it is priceless. The worth of their Godly influence on your life, cannot be matched. Even king Lemuel, of Proverbs 20, said, 1“who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her.” There is trust in a relationship when God is in the mix and we are faithful to one another. My wife was faithful to me first but as I have also became faithful to her, everything has started working out for our good. There is less arguments and more love. I’ll tell you what having a virtuous spouse means, it means more joy in your marriage and with God. Speaking of a women like this, the king said, 1“she will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.”

If your marriage has problems now, because of an unfaithful or unbelieving spouse, know that this can all be fixed with God’s hand in your lives. Without the Lord God, that is when bitterness and anger creep into marriages. This is when arguments arise and can easily get out of control. So the question is, do you want this type of marriage to continue? If you answered no, then I’ll second that question with this. If you are unhappy with your marriage, are you also willing to work on it, with God’s help? Well, I hope and pray that your answer was yes, for God hates divorce. And in such, is able to bring back the love that is missing in any marriage. We all know that we all age and get older. Over time our beauty fades. However, our love for one another doesn’t have to fade with old age but instead grow. When one spouse decides to give their life to Christ, they become a light to their spouse. Then, that person’s love will begin to rub off in a good way. It can even get to the point where the unfaithful spouse is moved by the other person’s actions. This happened to me and can happen to anyone. Lastly, let us learn what else the king taught us about a virtuous women. 1“Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.” There is joy in every marriage when faith in God is magnified. I pray that you do what is necessary to strengthen your marriage. Give it all to God and allow Him to lead you both in prayer. There will be love, joy and peace that follows.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray for every broken marriage out there. I know the pains and sorrows that comes along with marriages such as this, and it pains me to know that so many people that I know and love are suffering. I was suffering for many years in a broken marriage and can understand how it is. However, I also know that things can get better, as I have found, by putting my trust in You. Your love is what has helped me show love to my wife. Even when I was incapable of this in the beginning, my faith in You, was enough to begin to show her love like never before. My marriage has truly been flipped upside down. You have restored the love that I was missing. Because of this, I know that the missing link in any marriage, is You, Jesus. All these dear people’s pains and sorrows can be no more if they just put their trust in You, God. They don’t need something better than what they have in their spouse but Your love to makes things better. All their anger and bitterness can be put to rest when Your love takes control of us. We may be incapable of being a faithful spouse but our faith in You changes everything. Even the way we treat our spouse can be much different, when our desires are to love as You love us. I know that You are all powerful and can do all things. I trust in You Lord. I love You. Amen.
