Christians Can Be Deceived

We as Christians can be deceived by Satan. Especially, since we love God, the Devil wants to find us at our weakest moments and tempt us, that we may fall. Only in prayer can we overcome these temptations and come out on top. Jesus said, 2“take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.” When the Lord mentions antichrists, it is meaning anyone that deceives us into believing that Jesus is not the Christ. John said, 3“who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist.” So this could be anyone that doesn’t believe in Jesus or even so called Christians, that deny that Jesus is the Christ. Therefore, we watch who we are around and look up to. If these people are not in line with our beliefs in Jesus, then they could cause us to stumble and lose faith. Please understand that the power of darkness is in all the land, especially now that we are in the last days. This is why fellowship with people in the same faith is so important, that we may stay grounded on the solid rock of Christ. Many people are going to fall, lest they be found seeking God. Therefore, abide in the Lord, lest you be one of them. Be found looking to God, often in prayer. As Jesus said, 2“watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”

As hard times come to all believers in Christ, our daily prayers, Bible study, fellowship with other believers, and doing God’s will, will be our refuge in the storms. The Lord God will lift us up and bring us peace. He will give us guidance and direction, that we may stay on course. The Bible will help us know where He stands on certain issues that we may not fall into sin. Being around people of the same faith will be a blessing and encouragement to stay strong in the faith. Then, when our faith is put into action, we will be found courageous in doing as God commands. I mention these outlets in life, because times are not always going to be easy. We will need to know where to go in life, lest we be deceived. Jesus mentioned many things that we as Christians may have to go through, for His sake. 2“They shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake. And it shall turn to you for a testimony.” Please know that your faith will be put to the test and it is my prayer that you come out on top. Never lose faith in Christ, who saves. Draw nearer to the Lord daily. Don’t lose hope in His promises. As Jesus said, 2“in your patience possess ye your souls”, and 2“look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” There is salvation to those that endure in Christ the Lord. Lastly, Jesus said, 1“he that endureth to the end shall be saved.”

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray for everyone that is in the faith. May they never lose hope in You Jesus. There is only salvation in Your Name. May they never forget this. May their prayers never cease, lest they fall into temptation. I pray that they continue to draw near unto You at all times, lest their faith is tried. May your words be written in their hearts and that they may be an encouragement to us all, when times of trouble. Help us discover the best outlets in life and give up anything that leads us away from You. Instead of constant TV watching, may it be replaced with Bible Study and prayer. Instead of allowing ourselves to go to certain events that lower our guard, help us make time with people in the faith. That we may fellowship with them and continue to look up to You. Lastly, may our desires be for You. Take every evil thought from our minds. Deliver us from any addiction that compromises our faith and break every chain. Lead us from darkness and into Your light. Help us be a light to this generation and live a life of faith. May our faith be known among the men and women that we are around and be used by You at all times. I know that I am safe, when You are in my life. I have no need to fear, for You are by my side. I love You Lord. Amen.
