Believe In And Do As Jesus Says

The Lord is asking us to listen to Him. That our ears are open to His counsel. In this, we will receive divine Knowledge from God. He says 1“bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge”, as Solomon said He is calling our names every moment of every day. The question is, are you listening? Are you willing to receive the Lord’s counsel and do as He says. He has great things in store for our lives and the lives around us but we must be willing to be His vessel, to accomplish such things. Unfortunately, so many so called believers get stuck in their own way of life that they are too comfortable than to be led by God. They are OK with the life they have led, and to them, their belief in Jesus is enough, although He never led them. Let’s think about this for a minute. Let’s say that you said you believed in a King but then did things that was not lawful in the land. Is this honoring the King or disrespecting Him? Of course it is showing Him dishonor and that your faith is in vain. The same is for any so called Christian that says they believe in Jesus but do not do what He says. There is no true devotion to Him but only disrespect. Jesus once said, 2“why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” And still says this to anyone that proclaims to believe but in their heart they are far from Him. If you did believe, then you’d listen to His counsels for your life. You’d be open to Him and do as He says. And if this is you, then humble yourself and repent.

Make a decision to believe in and learn of the Lord God who saves. It would be very unwise of you to live out your entire life, having lived against the words of God. I just know that I would not want to be that person, come judgment day. 3And since Jesus is the judge, and He is whom they rejected, His wrath would be upon them. The same is for those that said they believed but did not do as He says. This type of belief will not save anyone, especially if it had no fruits of repentance and their heart was no for listening and learning from God, through the Bible and prayer. For this reason, if you are one of these people that have distanced yourself from God, come back today. Pray to God and ask for forgiveness. Ask Him to help you turn from your sins. This I pray 1“that thy trust may be in the Lord” who saves, as Solomon said. If you were to humble yourself before God, and truly sought after Him with your whole heart, a life change would occur. Your defiance would turn to acceptance and to do His will. You would then discover the mysteries of God ,through scriptures and prayer, and it will delightful. Then, the Lord God will say to you, 1“have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge” and you will say, yes Lord, thank You so much, as Solomon taught. There is so much to learn and grow in the faith. And it all starts with our openness to receive the Lord Jesus into our lifes.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that more believers will become doers of Your words also. May their faith have fruits also. But above all, open the hearts of these people that they may learn of You. Help them know the importance of turning from their sins and becoming a new creation in You, Jesus. It is nothing we can do that is good but what You can do for our lives that is excellent. Everything that You do for us is beneficial in every way. We would be very wise to come to You often in prayer and Bible study to learn from You, my King. There is no other place that holds the knowledge we need to go on in life and be led on a path of righteousness. We would never know the right way to heaven, if You were not leading us. There is so many obstacles in our way and only by giving ear to Your counsel, are we able to know the right way to live. I know that the day that I started seeking You with all my heart, is when my life changed. I was no longer living a life on my own. I now had You to confide in and direct my paths. I am now safe in Your arms, Jesus. You are my rock and my firm foundation. Thank You for using me for Your kingdom. I am so blessed. I love You. Amen.

25 Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul.

2Luke 6:46-49 (KJV)
46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

32 Corinthians 5:8-11 (KJV)
8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
