Are You Wicked Or Wise?

When people are not looking to walk after the will of God, many wicked things can slip into their lives. Because they do not trust in God for answers, they become deceived by their own good works and knowledge. As Solomon said, 1“every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.” These same people are full of self-taught wisdom and often proud people and closed off to God. And speaking about this type of lifestyle, Solomon put it this way, 1“an high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.” What they are doing is evil in the sight of God and therefore, they are deceived by continuing their in. Some of these people may even become rich, but the good things they have, is only good for now. And if any of it was given to them because of lying or cheating, God knows and this is very serious indeed. These people are in danger of hell fire. Solomon said, 1“the getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.” And the guilt that these people carry is burdensome and can eat at their soul. 1“The robbery of the wicked shall destroy them”, as Solomon said, if they do not do something about it with God in prayer. 1“The soul of the wicked desireth evil”, as Solomon put it, but only God can cast out what is wicked.

Every person that neglects their opportunity to repent is wicked. They will be judged and be found guilty. 3They are then punished for their wicked deeds and cast into the lake of fire. Whereas, the 1“the simple is made wise” through God, as Solomon said. He also said that 1“when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge.” This is in contrast to what he said about 1“the scorner,” of whom mocks the person of God, for they are punished. Righteous men and women of God can see through people that are wicked and if they are not for God. And in the same manner, 1“God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness”, as Solomon said. The Lord God also doesn’t put up with people that desire to walk in His light but chooses darkness instead. 2And one way that you can know if you are a follower of Christ is if you love God and your neighbor with all your heart. This includes everyone in your family, friends, co-workers and people on the streets. And if you neglect to care for the needy, God knows and is not happy with you. As Solomon said, 1“whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.” If you think yourself to be wise in the Lord, do not forget this. Your prayers will not be heard if you do not abide in His love and care for those in need.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, please help more people realize the things that they are doing wrong, that they may repent before they die. I pray that more people will be saved in the day of judgement. Help those in the faith find these people and be faithful in sharing the gospel with them. In so doing, may they love on these people, as You love us so much. May we share the same love with our neighbor as You have shown towards us. We desire to live inside Your will, Lord. Convict every person that is far from You to repentance, including us. Lead us from every form of darkness that we may be encompassed in Your light. If there is someone that is need, lead us to them. Help us carry their burdens as You carry ours. Help us no longer pass by people on the streets that are struggling but stop and care for them. If it is by money, food, giving them a place to stay, praying for them, or whatever it may be, help us know how to properly care for their needs. We long to live for You and no longer for this world. Make us wise in Your presence. Give us counsel and lead us by Your hand. You are our deliverer and we trust in You, Jesus. We believe in You Lord. We love You. Amen.
