Be Wise In The Lord And No Longer Foolish

The end of our foolishness comes when we humble ourselves before God and receive Him. We openly confess our sins before God. This is where we find true mercy and wisdom in the Lord. We no longer desire to walk in sin but instead be cleansed by the blood of Jesus. Solomon spoke on this, when he said, 1“through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom.” It all starts with a desire to be made clean. Then, God can open our minds and give us the wisdom we need. This is when the Holy Spirit comes and we are led on the right path and to all truth. When the truth is discovered, there is so much joy. It is life changing and souths the soul. Therefore, people cannot get enough. God’s wisdom is better than anything we could ever experience in life. It is refreshing in every way possible. As Solomon said, 1“the wellspring of wisdom” is 1“as a flowing brook.” We are so enlightened and taken on paths we never knew before. One might ask how this all begins. The answer is simple, where there is humility, there is also openness. Solomon said, 1“Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility.” Because these people are open to God, they are welcomed into His presence, where they can know and learn things from above. God’s chosen people cannot get enough of His understanding and run to Him daily, to be fed. Solomon said, 1“the name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” The righteous are safe and preserved until death and forever.

With all things good from God, there will always be the majority of people that reject it. Because they are foolish, they cannot see the value of learning from God. They feel like they already have learned enough and what the Lord can give them is not important. They are wise in their own ways. Solomon spoke on this, when he said, 1“a fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.” And because they think this way, they are often contentious with those in the faith of God. They don’t want to hear the truth, and therefore are more ready to argue their point, when discussion on God occurs. This is because, as Solomon said, 1“a fool’s lips enter into contention.” Because they do not have the Lord in their life, they stumble in life and do and say things that hurt one another. They have built up a wall, in their abundant pride, and unless this wall comes crumbling down, they are lost forever in their sins. Solomon spoke on this matter, when he said, 1“the rich man’s wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.” It is sad to see people reject the Lord Jesus, who saves. The Lord can save these people but the hardness of their heats keep them away. Therefore, because their desires were not to serve God, they will receive the wrath of God in judgement. Solomon said, 1“when the wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt”. These people will have wished they listened to God, when they had the chance.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, come and cut down the pride in men and women’s hearts. When these people are shut up and have no place to receive You, convict them of their wrongs, nonetheless. Lead good Christians to pray for and care for them. May they speak with love and peace and never give up on them. Help these Christians to abide in You and speak through the Spirit. Then you can pierce the hearts of the wicked and show them the darkness that they are in. One day, I pray that their walls may come crumbling down. And in all their brokenness, I know that You can mend their broken hearts. You can speak wisdom to their lives and lead them to the truth. We are unable to escape the temptations of the devil but with You in our lives, we can do all things. So Lord, I pray that humility will come and that these people will be drawn to Your love. May they find mercy and grace. And when that happens, show them a new life . Give them understanding from above and lead them by the Spirit. Thank You for showing me the way. I am humbled by Your mercy and wisdom in my life. Thank You Lord. I love You. Amen.
