Kings, Presidents And All Rulers

Please understand that there is a lot of weight put upon kings, presidents, emperors and rulers of this earth. And with every weight that is upon them to answer the call of the people correctly, don’t you think there is even more weight on the Lord Jesus, our King? Just like those that rule over us on this earth, He rules supreme in heaven and in the hearts of those that love Him. There is nothing He would not do for His people. 1That is why Jesus was born, lived a perfect life and then died for the sins of the world. He knew we all had a problem with sin and His plan was to be the sacrificial lamb for us all. When He died on the cross, He took upon our sins. I cannot even imagine the pain and agony He went through for us all. How great is our God? Now, because of our Lord, there is forgiveness and mercy for us all. Now, our earthly rulers have never done such an amazing thing as this and never will. However, they should at least strive to be an example of what is good for the people. Solomon taught, 2“it is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.” People love and respect their kings more when they are doing what is right for the land. Especially, 2“they love him that speaketh right” as Solomon taught. When a chosen ruler passes laws that give God honor, there is guidance from the Lord. These are things like allowing God’s name to be used in our currency and the pledge of allegiance.

When a person is no longer ruling over the land, because of their own ambitions, but for the good of the people, there is peace. Instead of being 2“messengers of death”, as Solomon taught, they bring goodness to all the land. And please note that 2“in the light of the king’s countenance is life”. He or she can surely do greater things when they look to God for understanding. And for each of us, there is a great responsibility to vote and to choose the right person for the job. We know that nobody is perfect but when a person’s beliefs are in God, it is much better to have them leading us them somebody that does not trust in God. I have seen and can just imagine other atheists make outlandish decisions that affect the country as a whole. We do not need people doing things that will not help build up the moral system of God. We do not need rulers that undermine what is right and pass laws that say wickedness is now good. Think about abortion and how it was legalized. Think about gay marriage and how that is legalized in many states. These are the types of bad decisions that a person makes when they are not allowing the Lord to lead them. And unfortunately, these laws affect everyone. Now, there are gay parades and such and it is as if it is not wrong at all. Countries can either do well for the sake of God or go down the way of the wicked and affect many people’s lives for the wrong. These leaders will be judged for the evil things they have done.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray for this country and the people that live here. I also pray for other countries that are governed over by kings, emperors and other rulers. I know that we do not all have proper rule upon our lands and our we need Your help. Please come to these men and women by messengers, church, the Bible, prayer and dreams. I pray that one of these avenues may stir them up to do good for the people that they rule over. May they see the wrongs that have been made with certain laws and may they attempt to undo these wrongs. I pray that they come to understand what is good in Your sight and no longer stand for what is wicked. Even if it takes new leaders to step in and do the right thing, I pray that it happens and that person will put You first in their lives. May every ruler that loves You strive to keep God in the pledge, the dollar bill, and other things. May they stand up to abolish abortion and same sex marriages. I know that all things are possible when high officials come to an understanding of Your laws. Your ways are higher and I pray that these people will choose to do what is right for us all. I trust in You God. I love You. Amen.
