Respect The Marriage Bed

To everyone that is single or married, think about marriage for a moment. This message is for all people. Why is this? 4Because, if everybody realized how sacred the marriage bed is, they would never fornicate or commit adultery. They would save themselves for their spouse in marriage. And not only that, they would keep their sexual interactions with their spouse alone. Please understand that sex is a gift from God and it is also called intimacy, when used correctly within the bonds of marriage. 2Only inside the marriage, between husband and wife, is it good and wholesome. If your faith in God is strong enough, you would know this. You would also know that sex outside of marriage is evil. You are right to think that, for fornication and adultery is an abomination in the sight of God. Those that play with sex are also playing with fire. People don’t understand God’s ways if they think they can just live their lives the way they want. However, with all decisions, also comes consequences. Each time somebody sleeps around with a man or woman, God is keeping note of it. He can see the wickedness in their hearts. Freely giving their bodies over to fornication is plain awful and hard for God to bare. If you are doing this now, then repent. Confess your sins and ask God for forgiveness. But most of all, allow the Spirit of God to change your heart. You can be a better person with Christ the Lord in your life.

To all men and women, understand that if you have an addiction to pornography, it will not get any better in marriage. Just because you are getting married, does not mean that your urge to look at these images and videos will leave you. If you are anybody like me, it will only get worse. Understand that there is one reason why people look at it, and it was my reason to. Number 1, to get instant gratification, because of my lusts and number 2, I did not respect God and his commandment, 1“Though Shalt Not Commit Adultery”. Because of my lusts, I often disregarded God’s laws and the importance of the sexual act in marriage alone. It wasn’t until I had enough and wanted the guilt to go away, that I gave my life to Jesus. I prayed and asked the Lord to not only forgive me but change me from within. I did not want to fall back into this same lifestyle. And God responded. He made it so that I had strength to resist temptation. Praise God. Now, I know that I was sinning against the body. I’ve learned that there are different avenues of sex and all are evil in the sight of God. 1. Sex before marriage is wrong. 2. Sex with a married person is wrong. 3. Sex with the same gender, while single or married, is wrong. 4. Sex, through pornography and masturbation, is wrong. Please understand that doing such things is sinning against God and our body. It is written that no adulterers or fornicators will inherit the kingdom of God.

If you are committing sexual sin, or have so, without repentance, then you are also an enemy to God. There is no justifying our sins and especially our sexual immoral acts before God. God knows it is all wickedness if it is not with a husband and wife. The same goes for pornography. Watch out! God is watching. You are not alone. Each time you look upon these men or women to lust, you are committing adultery. Jesus said, 1“whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” These sexual acts are vile and anybody doing such things has no rights to be in God’s kingdom. Please do not call yourself a Christian, if you are living in sexual sin. A Christian is somebody that believes in Jesus and then also lives out their faith. They do not live in willful sin, to then disrespect God and His teachings. Everyone that loves God also understand that their bodies are a temple of God. It would be dishonoring to God and our spirit to join ourselves with another person in sexual immorality. 3“Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.” Make a choice today to come to Christ and 3“flee fornication.” Remember that 3“ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, may more people come to understand the importance of sex in marriage. May they begin to respect you enough to keep sex within the bonds of husband and wife. Your commandment to not commit adultery is so important and I pray that people understand it as well. It has convicted me of my sins, while in adultery and looking at pornography. Your words have pricked my heart. Now I know the importance of honoring You and not giving into fleshly lusts. Only You, Lord, are able to tame them. I wrestled with my temptations for so long and could never not resist, until You came into my life. You gave me the strength I need to conquer my addictions. The chains were broken and I am set free, through Your blood. It was You that gave me new appetites that please You above all else. I am fulfilled in Your love. Thank You for showing me the way. Thank You for Your forgiveness and mercy. I would not be here now if it was not for Your grace. You are so compassionate to forgive me and lead me on the right path. I am so grateful Lord. I love You. Amen.
