Repent And Trust In The Lord

The Lord is watching over us. He can see the hearts of men and women and their desires for Him. Those that have resisted God, in their life, are missing out. They will never know what true joy really feels like until they submit themselves over to Jesus. It truly breaks His heart when people, in the faith, lose their trust in Him and find their pleasures elsewhere. To see people keep walking away from Him is truly hard to take. Those that have lost their faith, tend to forget what the love of God is like. What they are doing in the moment seems to be more important. This kind of lifestyle is so dangerous. Those that are lukewarm, are not Christian, and are no more saved than the unbeliever. To these people, Jesus says, 2“because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” Be not content in the things of this world, over God. To say that you are content and have no need to repent and walk in God’s ways is putting you in danger of God’s wrath. Give ear to God’s counsel. Listen to what He says, 2“many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.” This life will come and go before you know it. Don’t be found in judgement, wishing you had repented. By that point, it will be too late. Your fate will already be sealed.

Jesus is calling your name. Don’t stand idly in sin but answer His call today. Give ear to the Lord God in prayer. Jesus said, 2“behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Will you heed the voice of the Lord and allow Him to make something of your life, this day? Lay down your sins and addictions at the feet of Jesus. Allow Him to cleanse you from all iniquity. There is mercy and forgiveness only in His hands. Pray for the grace of God to cover you. Then, allow the Lord to use you. Open your heart to Him and allow Him to have His way inside your life. Come out of the world and put your trust in the God who saves. 1“They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.” You will no longer fall prey to Satan, and his lies, when the Lord is with you. God will make a hedge of protection, that will shield you from temptation. 1“The Lord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.” With His hand in our lives, we are able to walk in faith. He allows us to walk in His light and escape the darkness. 1“As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the Lord shall lead them forth.”

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I am grateful for Your forgiveness. Thank You for Your mercy. For so many years, I was living outside Your love and didn’t feel a need to repent. I was so lost. Satan had his hand in my life and made me feel like I was content. Oh how wrong I was. The pains of guilt continually wracked my soul. The addictions were just too much for me to deal with on my own. I was not capable of escaping the bondage of sin, I was in. But Lord, it all changed when You came into my life. In brokenness, I reached out to You and immediately felt Your peace. You heard my confessions and my desire to change my life. In that moment I needed Your comfort and You answered my call. Thank You for extending Your love towards me. I am sorry for continually walking away from You. I am so sorry. Please help me never leave Your side again. I trust in You, Jesus. I love You. Amen.
