Doctrines Of Men

There have been so many so called Christians that have died and gone to hell. This is so sad and could have easily been avoided. 3Willful sin is a big cause, for as believers in Christ we fight against sin and not live among it. The second leading cause is, their belief system is wrong. People build up their own beliefs in God, and establish beliefs based on the doctrines of men. Don’t be found ignorant in unknowingly fighting against God with your beliefs. Never add to the Bible but read and teach from God’s Word. False teachings will cause a rift between us and God. A relationship with the Lord cannot be established if false doctrines are in the midst. The Lord hates sin but also hates the doctrines of men. Here are the characteristics of these fallen people, 1“This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” 4If your life is far from God then you won’t be able to fight against temptation. You won’t be able to decipher what is of God and what is not. Sin may not be the leading deterrent, but your lack of knowledge of the Bible can lead you to follow the wrong faith. Even in your day to day thinking and talking, you can easily lead yourself and others astray by teaching things that are not Biblical in nature. Surely a person that tries to teach a gospel principle must also be Biblically founded and led by God, lest he or she loses their soul and others, in the meantime.

A person that builds up their faith on prayer and the Bible is secure in God’s kingdom. These people have a right to share the truth of God with others, for the Lord is with them. However, people that base their beliefs on their own thoughts or other books, outside the Bible, are committing a crime against God. 2“Being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness,” they 2“have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.” For that reason, they will be severely punished, in judgement. Don’t be found establishing doctrines of men. Repent and come to know Christ, in the Bible, that your souls may be saved. These types of people have no right to witness for Christ, lest many others are also led into their crooked ways of thinking. If a person desires to teach, let it be from the Bible. If a person desires to build up church doctrines then let it come from the Bible also. The doctrines of Christ will lead us to salvation in heaven. However, the doctrines of men will lead us to eternal torment in hell. 5“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.” What is of God is good and brings everlasting joy, but what is of men, without God, is evil and its joy will never last. Establish your faith on the doctrines of Christ, that you may not fall. 4“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I know that only You can lead a person to the truth. Seeking only You and Your Word can lead a person to salvation. No matter where we are now, You can open our eyes that we may see the truth. You can show us the errors of our ways. I just pray Lord that people will listen when You give them counsel. I pray that they will repent when they see the errors of their ways. Wilt there be a conviction in people’s hearts, this day. Lord, I pray that these people do answer Your call. I know longer wish to see my family and friends parish and go to hell. I wish that all those I love, may be saved in heaven. Lord, help me to reach them. Help me to teach the truths of the Bible. May it not be my words but Yours. Lead them to Your righteousness. I know that so many people have a zeal to follow You but are finding it in all the wrong places. This has been their downfall. Lead them from their crooked paths and into the right way. Establish their faith on Your Word. I know You can do all things. I trust in You, Jesus. I love You. Amen.

Let us read the Bible:
