Do You Truly Love God?

Each of us are either living for God or living in sin. There is no in between. 4We can’t truly say that we love God and still live in habitual sin. This is like saying, I believe in You God, but I do not want to do what You say. Have you ever thought how this makes God feel? This is what God hears, every time his creation rebels against Him. How sad it must be to see us go astray. Our faith means nothing if our heart is not for God. Know that 6“the devils also believe, and tremble.” 6Just saying we believe in the Lord God means nothing without works. If there are no fruits for our faith, then our faith is in vain. Oh how far you will stray if the Lord is not in your life. You may think that you are able to tell the difference between right from wrong but this is all foolishness if the Holy Spirit is not with you to guide you. So many people are fooling themselves into thinking they are saved when in fact they are not. This makes me so sad as to think that many people I know could be going to hell. 4A life of sin is not of God and must be dealt with immediately. 3Speaking of sin, walking in the doctrines of men are also so terrible, for they lead people to stumble. Test your beliefs with the Bible, that you may not be led astray. It is so important to be led by God and not the world. But first, we must be willing to come to the Lord, in His Word, and pray that our eyes are open to His truths. When God convicts you of your wayward and sinful life, repent!

If you have not given your life to Jesus, do so today. No longer delay the day of your salvation. The Lord is waiting. Nobody knows the day or time of our death and for many, it is tomorrow. 5“It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” Have you thought about this much? Are you ready to face your judge, Jesus Christ. His mercy is for everyone that repents and believes in Him. However, His wrath is upon those that deny their time to repent and don’t truly believe. Their works are filthy rags if they didn’t live for Him. 2“We are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.” We all have a great need to repent and become clean before God. Only the blood of Jesus can cover our sins. If you are fearful of what God thinks of you and what you have done, please listen. The Lord does not hate you. He loves you so much. Judgement has not been cast upon you till death. You can escape a life that leads to misery by believing and following in Jesus’s footsteps. If you desire to repent and live for Jesus then pray as David did when he said, 1“But do thou for me, O God the Lord, for thy name’s sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me. For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.” God is listening and will have mercy upon your soul. This is the great God I serve. His mercy is for everyone that calls upon His Name.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, thank you for delivering me from a life of sin. Oh how blinded I was. For so many years I thought that I could just keep sinning and repent later. Oh how foolish I was. I am so happy that my life did not end then. Thank You Lord for extending my life so that I could repent and become clean. I am so grateful for repentance. I am grateful to know that You still love me. After all I have done, You still care for my needs. Even in my wickedness, You had mercy upon my soul. I did not know how to escape my addictions but You were able to brake those chains. My heart was changed. My desires were moved to love others more than myself. My desires were not as important as loving one another. You did it all Lord. You are the one that leads me to all truth. Thank You for helping me understand the truths of the Bible. This has led me to where I am now in this relationship with You. I love You so much Lord. Amen.

1Psalm 109:21-31 (KJV)
21 But do thou for me, O God the Lord, for thy name’s sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.
22 For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
23 I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust.
24 My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness.
25 I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.
26 Help me, O Lord my God: O save me according to thy mercy:
27 That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, Lord, hast done it.
28 Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.
29 Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.
30 I will greatly praise the Lord with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.
31 For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul.

2Isaiah 64:1-6 (KJV)
1 Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence,
2 As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!
3 When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.
4 For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.
5 Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.
6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

3Matthew 15:1-9 (KJV)
1 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
2 Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
5 But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;
6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

4Romans 6:1-9 (KJV)
1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

5Hebrews 9:24-28 (KJV)
24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

6James 2:14-20 (KJV)
14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
