Confess Your Sins

If you have fallen into sin, will you confess it, now, to God, in prayer? While down on your knees, humble yourself before the King of Glory. Submit your life before Him, with all reverence, to the God most High. While in this moment, call upon God for help. Ask Him to give ear to the words of your mouth. Explain that you are in need of His assistance. You may not have been sincere in the past, but this time you want to make things right. Say God, 2“be merciful unto me,” and begin to poor out your heart to Him. Give it all to Him. Leaving out nothing. You have rightly called upon the Lord for forgiveness, for sin is not tolerated in His sight. What God is looking for is someone that acknowledges their down fall and is humble enough to ask Him for assistance. We can try all we want to, to escape the slavery of addiction, but only He can break the chains. The Lord is 2“ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.” It takes a decision on our end to call upon God. Don’t wait till the worst case scenario occurs but do this now. You may not be able to free yourself from your lustful thoughts and actions but He can, through you. He can take the person, you are now, and lead you to safety. 3Only God can put us on the rightful path.

So go ahead and pray. Pray like there is no tomorrow. 5For we know that tomorrow is not promised to anyone. Anyone of us could die in our sleep tonight. If you are a vile and unrepentant sinner, don’t let this night pass you by. Don’t risk being guilty in judgment. The consequence is eternity in hell. Isn’t getting right with God worth it? How sad would it be, if you had the opportunity today to call upon the Lord but instead, you neglected the chance. All it takes is a few minutes of your time. Don’t let this time escape you. Is a few minutes of your time, to get right with God, worth a lifetime of happiness in heaven? Not to say a life for Christ isn’t necessary but these few minutes, today, could make the difference. This little time with God will jump start your life to walk with Him. It won’t be you, getting your life in order, but the Holy Spirit, inside of you. 1God creates in us a clean heart. We could never do this on our own. God is calling you now. Will you take the Lord’s invite and follow Him? If this is your choice then know that the Lord will preserve You. 4As you put your trust in Him, He will never leave your side. We will forever have the strength of God, abiding with us. Imagine the amazing things you can accomplish with God in your life.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, lead us away from sin. Forgive us when we fall. Have mercy upon our souls. Help us to stay clear from the addictions of the past. When temptations arise, don’t let them take us down. Strengthen us when we feel weak. Even when it feels like we can’t do anything to escape the slavery of sin, spark inside of us a reason to follow You. Help us never forget the importance of living a life for You, oh Lord. I know that my lustful desires are not worth being separated from Your Spirit. It isn’t worth being tormented in guilt and shame for a few minutes, to an hour, of pleasure. None of this is worth it, if my body has to be defiled and I lose out on Your presence. Keep me clean, oh Lord. Keep me spotted from the things of this world. Help me to walk uprightly and be an example to others. May your light shine down upon me that others may also know how to walk. I want to live for You. I give my life to You, Jesus. Have Your way inside of me. I love You. Amen.
