The Miraculous Birth Of Jesus

There is a reason for the season and that is Jesus Christ. His birth signifies the greatest event to ever take place on this earth. Nobody has done more than Jesus, our Lord. It is a great honor to remember Him. As we read God’s Word, we are taken back a little over 2000 years ago to the historic event. It all started with Mary receiving a visitation from the angel Gabriel. She was told, 2“thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest.” What a wonderful thing to take place in Mary’s life. She surely was chosen by God, in order to be the one to raise the King of Kings. Though she didn’t see how this was possible, since she was a virgin, the angel helped her understand. 2“The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.” It wasn’t an earthly father that could deliver the Son of God to mankind but God himself. His Spirit did a miracle in Mary’s life to bring this to pass. As is written, 2“with God nothing shall be impossible.” This is a miracle and Mary accepted it fully when she said, 2“be it unto me according to thy word.” If we could all submit to God in this fashion this world would be a different place.

Soon after this visitation, the angel also visited Joseph. He told him to not fear his wife’s pregnancy for what she is carrying 1“is of the Holy Ghost.” The angel also told him to 1“call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.” This was very important, for Jesus did come to save us all by dying for us on the cross. It was soon after this that they journeyed to Bethlehem. Though there was no room in any inn, they found a humble barn and Mary 3“brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger.” While this was happening, shepherds were tending their sheep. In that moment, an angel of the Lord appeared to them and said, 3“Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” As this message was delivered, 3“a multitude of the heavenly host” came 3“praising God”. They then proclaimed 3“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” After this amazing angelic visitation, 3“they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.” They then told everyone about the birth of Jesus, and left praising God. Surely, this birth was miraculous in all forms of the word. Thank You Lord for coming, in order to save us all from our sins.
