Led By God Versus Yourself

A meaningful relationship with the Lord Jesus means much more than saying you believe. A relationship leads to salvation in heaven. The key is that He knows you. You’ve studied His Words and followed in His ways. 4It was more than just reading or hearing, God’s words spoke to your heart and you obeyed. 4It was never you alone, that led you to follow Jesus, but the Holy Spirit that led you. 4You asked God for forgiveness and He was more than willing. All it took was an open heart to be free from your sins and He made a way. The Lord opens doors to those that seek Him. He does great and marvelous things for those that look to Him in faith. 2Because of our prayers, people are healed. 2Even their sins are forgiven because of our faith that God would make a way. And God did. 3You may even have seen a person who was far from God but through your prayers, he or she finally opened their heart to God. It was then that the Holy Spirit came into the person’s life and the person acted on it. Never lose heart for the wayward sinner. Keep your prayers going that they may find their way to God. Our love for the Lord will lead us to pray for those that are in bondage. Even those that are sick and afflicted, His love will come through us, in how we care for them. This is a life led by the Lord.

Being led by God is much different than being led by your own self and hoping or thinking you are saved. Wouldn’t it be better if you knew in your heart that you are saved and have nothing to worry about. This can happen and will for those that love Jesus. A relationship with God is the key to our salvation. We either know God and He knows us or we think we know God and He doesn’t know us. People can even be certain that God knows them, but in reality, He does not. Merely belief without action leads to fear in judgement. 1No relationship, only leads to destruction in hell. 1Even abundant work for God can even be more knot. How so? If you did things not out of the kindness of your heart, it doesn’t matter. If you were led by your own will and not God, then it isn’t God’s plan. 5We only fulfill God’s will when we are led by the Holy Spirit. We must learn to realize the difference in living for ourselves and living for God. Only by examining where this desire is coming from, will we find out. The Lord wants to act in our lives. However, many people go the safe route, in order to not do things outside there comfort zone. 1This type of thinking, is also walking on a path, leading to destruction. It is better to save your soul and follow the Lord than to be safe and lose your soul in the process.

Let us pray:
Lord, thank You for opening my eyes to the life I was living. Thank You for leading me from a life of sin. I am grateful that You took me from the darkness and into Your light. You have surely led the way, oh Lord. You have been there from the start. Since I first called Your Name, You have not let me down. You are always there for me when I seek You. Each day that I call upon Your Name, You listen. I gain so much wisdom from Your presence. I gain so much knowledge from the Bible. Your words speak clearly to my mind, on how to live for You. I no longer want to live on my own. I only want to be led by the Spirit. Lead me on Your path, that leads to life eternal. Lead me far away from the path of destruction. Lead others that are astray from that path and into Your marvelous light. May more souls be saved and come to know You daily. You are the way to heaven. I pray that Your light will shine in my life that others may know of Your great love. I love You. Amen.
