Jesus, The Lamb Of God

Before Jesus was even born, David knew the glory of the Lord, Jesus Christ. His praises rang out to His glorious Name. David proclaimed, 1“In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.” Surely, the Lord God is great and marvelous. Jesus changed many lives while He was in Israel. Through his healing touch, he healed people that were sick, cast out demons and even forgave sins. There truly is healing found through Him. The greatest healing of all is the forgiveness of sins. He can heal us of our sicknesses but there is nothing I’d rather receive than forgiveness for my sins. Many times, He forgave people’s sins and then healed their wounds. There was a particular time when a group of people brought to Jesus a very sick person with palsy. Imagine a man or woman with extreme tremors, brain damage and paralyzed in parts of their body. This illness is hard to bear and cannot be cured, but this was not the case with Jesus. They had faith that the Lord could do all things. So the people lowered him from the ceiling, in order for Jesus to heal him. This is what happened next, 2“When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.” What a blessing to be found forgiven. Praise God. Some people didn’t see this as good but blasphemy. Though they doubted His glory and power, it was displayed in full force. In the goodness of the Lord, Jesus then said to the man with palsy 2“I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all.” How glorious was this. No man could do such miracles but Jesus. All praise the Lord.

John, the apostle, also knew of the glory of God, through Jesus. His eyes were opened and he saw 3“the Lion of the tribe of Judah.” An angel allowed him to see into heaven. There were 3“four beasts and four and twenty elders” who could not open a book but then they saw the Lord. He entered the room and opened the book, in order 3“to loose the seven seal”. Upon seeing this, they 3“fell down before the Lamb”. He 3“had been slain” for the sins of the world. Because of this, He 3“hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.” Those that are lost are now restored through Him. We are found worthy in His presence. If you have been set free from sin and guilt, give Him praise. Your eyes have been opened. Your heart has been changed. You have been cleansed and brought into His glorious presence. This gift of grace is for all. What a wonderful God we serve. He surely is our greater healer. He is our Redeemer and Savior of the world. Sing 3“with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.” This is the acclamation of 3“many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands.” All were in unison, giving glory to God. Even 3“every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them” cried out 3“Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.” All praise to Jesus, the Lamb of God.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I honor You. All praises to Your Name forevermore. I am deeply honored to know You. You are the great God of the heavens and earth. Hallowed be Your Name. I give You glory. You are worthy of all praise. You suffered and died that we might live again. In agony, You freely suffered that we might be set free. Your blood atonement washes us from all sin. Only You could free us from bondage. Oh the chains, I felt for so many years. Nothing I could do could free me. Only Your healing touch could revive my soul. You have opened my eyes to Your glory. My desires have been renewed. My heart is given to serve You, my Lord and King. Thank You for saving me from destruction and pain. You have freed me from death. I am alive because of You. All mankind can now be healed from sickness and death. Their sins can be forgiven if they but believe in You. May people draw nearer to You. May they give You the thanks that You deserve. I praise You, Lord. I rejoice in the Lamb, who was slain. I love You. Amen.
