Praise God. Just got done sharing the good news of the gospel and met these two young men, in the meantime. They were so receptive to the gospel, from the start. They had been struggling in their sins and didn’t know a way out. They said they had tried everything to break free from their addictions but nothing helped. The temptations were to heavy and they didn’t have a way to escape it. They knew that they weren’t living for God but didn’t know how. What they tried doing never lasted. When I told them that I felt the same way with pornography and couldn’t escape it either, they understood that I was once in their same boat. What Jesus did for me took years because of my own neglect to follow Him. He was always there but I never gave Him a chance to make me clean. Talking with my friends about it never helped. Putting on good music, never had a lasting effect. The temptations just kept rolling in and I couldn’t defend it. Just like them, I was tired of living in a life of sin and regret. I wanted a do over. I wanted a way out and a fresh start. What I didn’t realize was that Jesus could have helped me all along. All I needed to do was look to Christ for answers and my life began to change. One night, I fell down on my knees in prayer. At the feet of Jesus, I gave Him everything. It was then that HIs presence came over me. In could feel God’s love and knew that this was the start of a new beginning.
I continued to talk with these gentlemen and saw, in their faces, how moved they were through my story. The Spirit of God began to touch their hearts and do the convicting. All I needed to do was continue to share the gospel and my story, and the Lord would do the rest. So I told them that, while in prayer, I poured out my heart out to Jesus. I didn’t know if He still loved me but if He did to please rescue me. I confessed my sins and, in all humility, I cried out for help. I told God that I needed a Savior. I needed Jesus to wash away my sins. I wanted the cross to be meaningful in my life. The spirit then came over me and I felt safe. The next day, I continued to seek the Lord and in God’s mercy, I was forgiven. I have never been the same sin. Jesus broke the chains and I am made knew. They were blown away by the love of God. That the Lord could forgive a sinner such as I. There was so much lust in my heart for women but God still loved me. In His power, my thoughts were finally made clean. My lusts turned into love towards one another. All I needed to do was trust in Jesus and lay my addictions at His feet and He would do the rest. His forgiveness was upon me and the Holy Spirit began to lead me to live in His ways. We may not be able to live uprightly for God, on our own, but all this changes when Jesus lives inside of us. I left them with confidence that Jesus could free them from bondage as well. Thank You Lord.

Oh Lord, thank You for leading us, this night. You led us to those ready to receive You. Thank You for the Holy Spirit. We couldn’t have made the impact we did tonight without You. You led us to people ready to receive gospel tracts. People that needed prayer. Those that had ears to hear the gospel. Even two young men were lost but have now been found. They didn’t know how to live for You, but Your Spirit showed them the way. I am grateful for the cross. I am grateful for Your mercy. I confess that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. Thank You for dying for my sins. You breathe new life into my soul. I am weak and cannot resist temptation on my own. Only You make me strong to resist. You make us stronger. You give me hope for a better day. You are always there when I need You. Thank You Jesus. I love You. Amen.
