Witnessing At The Meridian Idaho Temple

I thank God for this beautiful day. It was a great privilege to go out into His harvest today and preach the gospel. I was home when the Lord started tugging at my strings to go out and witness for Him. I desired to go to the new Mormon temple in Meridian, Idaho, and share the truth of the gospel with them but waited until the Lord led me. As always, I wanted to be directed by Him above my own desires. So, as the Lord directed, I drove to the temple. After parking, I began to carry the Bible and my evangelism bag, over my shoulders. Before I left, God put verses in my mind, that I could use when talking to Mormons. I am grateful that God did this, for I now had His ammunition to penetrate the hearts of man. Many people were unloading from the buses to the church, near the temple. They were then getting in line to go through the temple. As people got out of the buses and stood by the church, I began to preach from the Bible. I asked the people if they knew that what they were believing was true. I asked if they had tested the Mormon doctrines with the Bible. I told them that if they were truly reading God’s Word, they would know that they are following another gospel. Though there teachings about marriage for all eternity is a fill good doctrine, it is not of God. 1Jesus said that in heaven, we will not be given into marriage but be as the angels. Many of them listened but some laughed. One man came over to me and at first was upset but when he realized I was only teaching from the Bible, he was ok with it. We had a wonderful conversation. I also told him about my website and how important it is to grow closer to Jesus daily. I pray that what I shared with him will bear fruit. Other people passed by me and were not open to the truth of the Bible. I could see they were closed off to what God’s Word says.

Most visitors left in their cars but some walked home. One young man came out of the temple and started walking on the sidewalk, near me. As I saw this young man come near, the Lord began to draw me to him. With all my love, I asked him if he knew he was following the doctrines of Christ. To which, he thought so. So I asked if he read the Bible and he said yes. So I had him read from Acts 17. God 3“dwelleth not in temples made with hands”. This passage teaches us that God is not worshiped in man-made temples. This caught him off guard. 5Then I quoted from 2 Corinthians 6, we “are the temple of the living God”. We are to keep our bodies clean before God. 2I explained that during the crucifixion of Christ the Lord, the veil of the temple was ripped in half. People no longer needed to go to a high priest for forgiveness and look to a temple. God no longer dwells in these buildings but in us. We can now come to God freely for forgiveness of sins. The last thing I shared with him was in 2 John 1. If we 6“abideth not in the doctrine of Christ”, we 6“hath not God”. It is important, for our salvation, to know what we believe in. Following the doctrines of man, will never save us. Don’t be deceived and trust what a prophet says over what the Bible teaches. At this point, I could see in his countenance that he was convicted. I asked what he’d rather follow, the prophet or the Bible and he said, the Bible. Praise God. I told him that I was once Mormon and that my eyes were also opened to the truths of God. Once I compared the Mormon teachings with the Bible, I knew what they were teaching was false. I asked if he would think about what I showed him and start comparing their teachings with the Word of God. Of which he said he would. There was new light in his countenance as he left. Before leaving, Cameron and I talked with this mom and daughter about the cross. 4That Jesus died for sins on the cross and not Gethsemane. They both listened but were content in their beliefs. I am just grateful for the time we had to talk.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that the hearts of the people that I shared the gospel with may be convicted by way of the Holy Spirit. Thank You Lord for leading me to this young man. He was so open to know Your will. I pray that his heart may remain open. Lord, lead him by the hand and out of the Mormon faith. Thank You for leading me to others that were open to the truth of God. Holy Spirit, testify the truthfulness of Your gospel to them. To those that were closed off to the Word Of God, I pray that the seeds we planted may find nourishment. I may never see these people again, but I pray that they will be reminded by what was shared with them today. During their own studies in the Bible, I pray that the verses we shared will come to life and make an impact on their lives. May they desire to follow You over man. Help them find confidence in Your Words over what their prophets declare. Lord, I know that if anybody teaches contrary to the Bible that it is a false doctrine. Any other gospel but what Your Word teaches, is blasphemy. I don’t wish Mormons to go to hell. I wish that they would come to know You, Jesus. That they could be washed clean from their sins. Lord, bring them out of darkness and into Your light. I pray that many will heed Your calling. My heart breaks to see these people lost and in darkness. I trust that You can do all things. To God be all the glory. I love You Lord. Amen.

1Matthew 22:23-32 (KJV)
23 The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,
24 Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:
26 Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.
27 And last of all the woman died also.
28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
31 But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

2Matthew 27:45-51 (KJV)
45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.
46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
47 Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.
48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.
49 The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.
50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

3Acts 17:24,25 (KJV)
24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
25 Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

41 Corinthians 15:1-8 (KJV)
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

52 Corinthians 6:14-18 (KJV)
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

62 John 1:9-11 (KJV)
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
