Fruits Of Sharing The Gospel

The Lord is so good. When we trust in Him, He surely delivers on His promises. Even talking with a friend of mine today on the phone, was an answer to my prayers. I had been worried about him and he finally called me. He had cut himself away from people for a while but to find out He is reading from the Bible more and starting to recover from his alcohol addiction. Praise the Lord. Before a group of us went out tonight, we prayed that the street we knocked on would be open to God’s message. We prayed that the Holy Spirit would do a mighty work inside of us and the people we encountered. That their eyes would be open to the gospel message of Jesus Christ. We left the prayer highly encouraged and trusting in God to make a way. As we went out on the street, God’s love carried us forward. The first door we knocked on, was this young gentlemen, who was so kind to listen to us. Though He wasn’t ready to make the change necessary to follow Jesus, he was able to hear the gospel of Jesus and the cross. Before we left, we gave him a Gospel of John booklet, in which he received with gladness. We encouraged him to read that book and pray to God. Each person we talked to and knocked on was amazing, like this one. We saw this lady outside her house, with her daughter, playing basketball. In which, we went up to her and asked if we could pray for her. She didn’t desire prayer but wanted the person she was sponsoring to get well. So we told her we would keep her in our prayers for healing. Luke, who was with us, asked her if we could come back another time and read from the Bible with her and she said yes.

The next lady we talked to had just received a pizza delivery. Upon meeting her, we asked if we could pray for anything specific. She desired for a new beginning so we prayed that God would let this happen and that He would show her the way. After talking about Jesus for a while, she brought up her love for psalm 91. In which we all read the verses together. Before we left, we asked if we could come back to visit and she said yes. She also received a Gospel of John booklet. Praise the Lord. We then walked to the next home and met another nice man. I could tell he loved Jesus by his cross tattoo. This opened up a wonderful conversation about Jesus and the cross. Jaron drew out the three circles (gospel message) inside the Gospel of John booklet and gave it to him. We then asked if we could come back and do a Bible study, in which, him and his wife said yes. So, next week, we’ll be back. Praise the Lord. The last house was their neighbor. Upon meeting her, we soon felt her love for Jesus. We broke the ice fast, letting her know that we are all Christians and love the Lord. That is why we were out there. We desired to share our love for Jesus to anyone that would listen. What an amazing conversation we had about God and His gospel. Before we left, we invited her to come with us to her neighbor’s home for the Bible study. Which she was surprised about but happily said yes. What an amazing night this was. Every home we went to, there was someone willing to listen. I am so grateful for this night. There were so many divine appointments. Only God could do such amazing things as this.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, thank You for giving a friend of mine a desire to call me. Be with him, in these difficult and trying times. Help him break the chains of addiction. Cheer him up and give him peace. Lord, this night, I owe all to You. I am grateful for Your faithfulness. We trusted in You and You delivered. We went out as messengers in Your harvest and You bore much fruit. Thank You for leading us to those ready to hear the gospel. Only You could do this. I am grateful for all the wonderful conversations we had that were centered around You and Your gospel. We just opened our mouths and You filled them. Thank You. Please Lord, watch over the people we met. May their desires to know You be increased. Keep them safe. I love You. Amen.

Psalm 91 (KJV)
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
