Let All The Earth Fear The Lord

What is sad, is that people do not fear the Lord. They do not think of God as almighty and powerful. When people are told about the importance of following Jesus, most of them don’t understand it. They don’t see a need to change their lives. The fear of a living God is missing in the hearts of this generation. If you honor God by living uprightly before Him, than that is something to be joyful of. David said, 1“Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.” He then goes on to explain what it truly means to fear Him. 1“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.” So to fear the Lord, is to honor Him and rejoice in the Name of Jesus. He is our God, whom we stand for. It is written that the Lord is with those that fear Him. 1“Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy.” We know that as sinners, we have no way of living a righteous life alone. But with the Lord in our life, we can make better decisions. As we repent, His mercy helps us know that we are loved and cared for. The forgiveness of God gives us motivation to live a better life for Him.

God’s will is that we live a fruitful life for Him by engaging in His Word and seeking Him in prayer often. He knows the dangers of sin and where it can take us if the Lord isn’t at the head of our lives. Temptation may take us down the wrong paths when we are weak but when the Spirit of God is in us we are stronger to stand against it. Our faith is strong when we are looking to Jesus for safety. His will for all mankind is 1“to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.” We are all dead if we have not given our lives to Jesus. We are destined to pay for our sins in judgement if Jesus hadn’t done this for us. We must ask the Lord to come into our lives and confess our sins to Him. Only by doing so, can we be made alive through Him. Our eyes can be opened to the fullness of His joy that lasts for eternity. As our thoughts and minds are on Jesus, we can live differently. Those in Christ will say, 1“Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.” His love has encompassed their lives and led them to rejoice in His goodness and grace. Our hope is alive because of the mercy of the Lord. God is so good to care for our needs.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I stand in awe at your mighty presence. You are all powerful and my King. I love You and honor You. I praise Your Holy Name.  I respect Your counsels for my life. My flesh is a stumbling block but You keep me upright that I might not fall. You help me fight against temptation and make me strong to resist it. Thank You for Your mercy. I was so far gone in my addictions for so many years but still You took me in. For so long I did not fear You but once I began to look to You in faith my life changed forever. My shield went up and my sinful lifestyle went away. Only You could do such amazing things in my life. Your mercy saved my soul from death. I now have hope that lasts. I love You. Amen.
