Live By Faith

Oh, how the people on earth have drawn cold to the Lord. They no longer keep His teachings close to their hearts but do as their flesh desires. They don’t heed His counsel but the counsels of men. They don’t give to God offerings of their heart but give their heart freely to the things of this world. Some may go to church and say they are Christian but their lives are not for Jesus. Their belief in the Lord is by words only and not by deeds. If you were to examine who they are during the week you would notice they love the world more so over God. He isn’t a priority in their lives. Other things take precedence. If you say you know God then you would know more than His Name but also His teachings. His words would be written on your heart. They would have meaning to your life. As you read the Bible pay close attention to the words. If you let the Spirit take hold of you, then the words will speak to your heart and bring insight to the things in your life. Ask God to open your mind and 1“grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.” And when He delivers you from darkness into His light, give Him thanks. Rejoice in the salvation of our Lord Jesus, for our petitions have been heard. We have been able to grow in the faith not by our own prideful nature but by the hand of God. The Lord is able to do great things for those that seek His face and abide by His words. All He asks is that you let Him help you.

If your heart has drawn cold to the things of God, then wake up from your slumber. No longer be on the fence of doing God’s will over what the world offers. Trust in Jesus for He is our Savior and not the things of this world for it only brings destruction. Our eyes can only see the outer appearance of sin but if we could see the inside we would never go back to it. Sin is filthy. It is like putting on muddy clothes, night and day. We may not see out life this way but God does. How would you like to appear before God? Would you rather be welcomed into His kingdom or be banished to hell? 2We are not perfect but it still doesn’t give us a right to sin. We must all come to grips that we are all sinners and need a Savior. None of us is good but God. If it isn’t for the blood of Jesus, through the cross, we would all be lost forever. 4It by the grace of God that we are saved. Our own self works don’t save us but our faith in God. This faith brings about works of righteousness. Things that we could never do on our power. We were made to do these good works in the faith. We were not meant to just say we believe but also be followers of Jesus. 3Everyone that declares themselves a Christian will also walk by faith. Pray always that you may do the will of the Father. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men.” Make room for Jesus and You will be ready to meet Him.

Let us pray:
Lord, we pray that our heart may be awakened. Help us be aware of our sins before You. Prick our hearts that we may know how to walk in Your sight. Help us escape the clutches of the evil one. May your words be a shield to our life when trouble comes. Speak to our minds freely. Come in and give us counsel. We are sorry for not taking in your wisdom in the past. We are sorry for turning to our own lustful desires over asking for You for help. We know longer wish to live unworthy of Your presence. Please forgive me for my sins. Raise me up into newness of life. Help me find the way. I will follow You. I love You. Amen.

Let us read the Bible:
Note: Any Numbered References, found above, are listed below.

1Psalm 20:3-9 (KJV)
3 Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.
4 Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.
5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions.
6 Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
8 They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.
9 Save, Lord: let the king hear us when we call.

2Romans 6:1-4 (KJV)
1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

32 Corinthians 5:6-11 (KJV)
6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

4Ephesians 2:8-10 (KJV)
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
