Evangelize: Downtown Boise Focused On The Bible

It was a pleasure to witness the truths of God to the people in downtown Boise, this day. There were some people who were interested in talking about God and others that were not. However, even if one person out of a thousand accept Jesus into their heart and is saved it is all worth it. For this, I count each night, that I go out, worth it. Lives are changing and seeds are being planted. As we were walking , I gave this gentlemen a devotional card and encouraged him to read a daily message focused on Jesus. His answer was, “I will read them each day and keep Jesus close to my heart. Thank you so much”. His heart was given to seek God and I was so encouraged by that. We walked a little further and finally met this couple outside a restaurant . Our discussion began on the importance of reading the Bible and that no religion saves but Jesus alone. She didn’t understand the importance of the Book and thought we just needed to live good lives. Though she was partially right, she didn’t have the full picture. So I taught that the Bible speaks to us and that the words are alive. That it will lead us to the truth. That we will come to know God and how to live for Him. We may have thought we knew how to live but if it wasn’t for God then we are off course. Before we left, I gave them devotional cards and encouraged them to read the messages and study the Word of God. I invited them to put their faith in Jesus for He is our Savior and the only way to heaven.

As we continued to walk we approached a homeless couple and gave them some food. I also asked if they would like a Bible to read and the guy’s answer was, “I wanted one a Bible the last time you were here but you didn’t have any. I am so glad you have one now. Thank you so much.” He was so grateful to have the Word of God to read. How encouraging was it to see his heart being given to God. I pray that they both may draw nearer to Christ, each day that they read. As the night continued, I started preaching a portion of the commandments, while this lady, with us, began singing Christian songs. I spoke out about God’s truth with boldness. Though I didn’t speak long before I started handing out more tracks it was good to go out of my comfort zone for God. I know the more I do things that God wills for me, the more souls will be won for Him. We must be willing to let the Holy Spirit do the speaking through us. We are only vessels to bring forth the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit will do the rest as we plant seeds people’s lives. Thank You Lord for using us to deliver Your message of hope to the lost. Thank You for delivering the good news, through us. Even those that say they believe in You need to be encouraged daily to seek You. Our day is so busy and we can easily forget You if we don’t make You a priority. I just pray that people can see the importance in discovering you daily in their lives. You fulfill my life, Lord. I love You.

2 Timothy 3:15-17 (KJV)
15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
