Evangelize: Primrose Street

Today was another wonderful day to share the love of Jesus. After knocking on many doors we finally stumbled upon a very nice lady. She was very open to our message about Jesus Christ. However, she had misplaced her Bible so we offered her one, which she accepted. After chatting with her a little about our love for the Lord she welcomed us in. Because she loved God so much, we felt in our heart to talk to her about sharing Jesus with others. We explained that 98% of people don’t share the gospel with their friends, though Jesus has called us to be ambassadors of Him to others. That once we come to Christ He makes us a new creation and the Holy Spirit compels us to share His love with those around us. We asked her to think of five friends she could share the gospel with. After explaining that praying for others is so necessary she started thinking of names. Then it was time to help her know how to share her testimony with others. All it needed to be was a 15 second testimony. For example, mine is, I felt I was in chains while addicted to pornography. I felt so much shame in my life. Then I found Jesus through prayer and He rescued me. As I turned from my sins He had mercy on my soul. We each shared our testimonies with each other until she felt comfortable. We also talked about the gospel message she could share with her friends. That Jesus payed the price for our sins so that we could be redeemed. That all those that accept the Lord into their lives are rescued and taken from this broken world into His love. Before we left we asked her if she needed healing. She told us that each time she stands she could feel this shooting pain go up her back. So we asked if we could heal her through prayer. She said yes so we put our arms around her and Patrick prayed over her. He asked God to take away the pains in her back. That God would restore her back to full health. After we were done we asked her to stand up and she said she felt no pain. God surely did a miracle in her life today. Before we left, her daughter came home and we asked them both if we could bring church to their home since they didn’t have a church they attended. They obliged and said we could do it next weekend. Thank You Lord for directing us to this wonderful house of peace. Be with them this week that they may have health and strength. That they may look to You in all things. We love You Lord. You are the light of my life.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 (KJV)
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
