Lead Me Lord

Even when we think we know where to go in life, we must pray about it and let the Lord guide us. Stay steadfast in the Word of God daily that the Lord may speak to you through His words. Any one verse may be just what we need to get an answer from God. He surely speaks through His words. The Word of God was left for each of us to get nearer to Him. No other book will lead us to happiness like the Bible. The words bear hope for a new day. It shows us how to love one another. Allow the Lord to take you by the hand and lead you. Things may appear one way but the Lord may have another plan for you. He may have something else in mind altogether. If we pray and seek His counsel He will deliver His answer in our minds. Let Him carry your soul away. Be near to the Lord that you may know where to Go. He will give you confidence that what you are thinking is right. How can we know which way to go if we aren’t reading His words and aren’t in prayer often. He is always there waiting for us but many times there is no answer. He knocks on our door but no one opens. We get so consumed with other things that they begin to be our priority. Our day gets so busy with TV, the computer, our phone, recreational activities and other things that God is forgotten. Sure on Sunday most people give respects to God but that is not enough. We need to do more to make the Lord a priority every day.

The Word of God is a pillar of hope for all that read it. We must give all our energy to follow Jesus and abide by His words. In everything we do let it be for God. Let all things be done with the Lord in mind. Let Him be a light that guides our path. Think on the Lord often. Wherever you may be let Him know you are there. Speak to Him as a friend. Serve Him as your King. Lean on Him and you will be safe in His arms. His commandments were left to teach us how to live a righteous life. God knew we needed something to keep us on the right track. As we abide with the Lord and do as He counsels than we will be greatly blessed. We shall have health and strength to sustain us each and every day. We shall have the food we require to be healthy.  Our hearts will be full of love. We will have peace in our lives. Nothing will satisfy us like the feelings we get while in prayer and reading His Words. Oh Lord, lead me by the hand. Let your will be done in my life. I look to You as my friend and King. I can’t wait to one day hear you call my name. I will be joyous as the trumpets sound. For you will be with me. I will have finally made it home to live in your glory. I live to one day hear You say, “Well done”. I want to be counted worthy before You. I want you to know me as your faithful friend. I will never quit on You. Each day I proclaim  that there is salvation in your name. Come quickly Lord. I love You.

Genesis 26:1-5
1 There was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, in Gerar.
2 Then the Lord appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you.
3 Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father.
4 And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed;
5 because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.”
