The Righteous Are Saved

If you desire to live in God’s kingdom then He asks that we be righteous. It doesn’t matter the city we live in. We need to be honorable before the Lord. We must not fall victim to the wicked ways of the people we live by. Sodom was very much like the city of our time. There is so much wickedness on this earth but it is up to us on how we live our lives. It’s because of the faithful believers that the Lord takes vengeance on the wicked and not the righteous. Abraham had a brother in the city of Sodom, Lot, and pleaded with the Lord for the safety of His family. He asked if only ten people were righteous that the city would be saved. The Lord agreed. His angels would search out the city for the righteous. All the pure in heart would be saved. The Lord knows who His true disciples are. He knows if we just believe in Him in words and not deeds. Trust in the Lord and love Him with all your heart. Let your hearts be knit with the Lord. Be kind and loving towards others. Serve God and do as He asks. Follow the promptings of the Spirit. If someone is in need, reach out to them. Care for the sick and afflicted. Spend time with those that are down and depressed. Share the gospel with others. Endure in the Lord and His blessings will be poured out upon you. Our God is most faithful above all. His promises are true.

Oh the mercy of the Lord. Forgiveness is given to all those that repent. He has power to blot out the wickedness in our lives if we let Him. Do the necessary things to develop a closer relationship with the Lord. Change the music you listen to. Spend less time watching TV and more time in the Word of God. Make your home a welcome place to the Lord. If the Lord came to you, would you feel worthy before Him? Would you be scared or joyful? His judgments are swift and the wicked will be punished. Repent of your sins and follow the Lord. Give up your wicked ways and give everything to follow Him. There is shelter in the storms of life. He will be there for us in every season. In the darkest moments He will comfort us. Walk in His ways and come to know the Lord. Trust in Him. Proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. Oh Lord, I will follow You. There is no other Name that brings me more joy. Your ways are perfect. Lead me on your path of righteousness. I am strengthened because of your love. Deliver me from evil and be with me always. I am secure in your loving arms. Thank you for your mercy. You forgive me so many times even though I am not worthy. Your love amazes me. You give me hope. You are the anchor in my life. Hosanna to the highest. All praise and honor to your Name. I love You.

Genesis 18:22-33
22 Then the men turned away from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the Lord.
23 And Abraham came near and said, “Would You also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
24 Suppose there were fifty righteous within the city; would You also destroy the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous that were in it?
25 Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?”
26 So the Lord said, “If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.”
27 Then Abraham answered and said, “Indeed now, I who am but dust and ashes have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord:
28 Suppose there were five less than the fifty righteous; would You destroy all of the city for lack of five?” So He said, “If I find there forty-five, I will not destroy it.”
29 And he spoke to Him yet again and said, “Suppose there should be forty found there?” So He said, “I will not do it for the sake of forty.”
30 Then he said, “Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Suppose thirty should be found there?” So He said, “I will not do it if I find thirty there.”
31 And he said, “Indeed now, I have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord: Suppose twenty should be found there?” So He said, “I will not destroy it for the sake of twenty.”
32 Then he said, “Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak but once more: Suppose ten should be found there?” And He said, “I will not destroy it for the sake of ten.”
33 So the Lord went His way as soon as He had finished speaking with Abraham; and Abraham returned to his place.
