Welcome Lord

How would you feel if the Lord appeared to you in all His splendor and glory? Would you be ready to receive Him? Would you open up your doors to Him? There isn’t one person that I’d be more thrilled to have visit me than the Lord. He is my everything in this life. I would do anything for Him. Wherever he leads me I will go. If He came to me I would run to Him. I would fall down on face to worship Him. I would praise His Holy Name. I would stand before Him and wrap my arms around Him. Tears of joy would stream down my face. I would graciously invite Him into my home. If He accepted, I would make ready the most delicious dinner I’d ever made. With all the energy of my heart I’d bring out the finest dishes I have. Just to eat and dine with the Lord would be incredible. There are so many things I’d say to Him. Every word would be in praise to my mighty King. I’d sing hallelujah for my God has come for me. My eyes would be fixed on His beauty. Lord Jesus, your love has taken me by storm. I am amazed by the joy I feel in my heart. All I need is You. When you are in my life everything is better. My relationships are better and stronger. Your hand of mercy has set me free. The cross has given me a new life. Thank You for everything you do for me.

The Lord appeared to Abraham, “as he was sitting in the tent”. As “he lifted his eyes and looked” there were three men with Him. Abraham’s countenance was amazed to be in their presence. “He ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground”. He then said to them, “Please let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree. And I will bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh your hearts.” After they accepted His invite Abraham “hurried into the tent to Sarah” and said, “Quickly, make ready three measures of fine meal; knead it and make cakes.” He then “took butter and milk and the calf which he had prepared, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree as they ate.” What an amazing experience that had to have been. How amazing it would be to dine with the Lord and His servants. He was ready to great them and opened His doors with gladness. Let your hearts be knit with the Lord, so that when He appears we are ready to greet Him. I love You Lord. I am Yours. Have your way in me. I will look to You in all things. I am safe in your arms. You give me courage to make it through the storms of life. You hold the keys to my heart. Hosanna, to the Lord in the highest.

Genesis 18:1-8
1 Then the Lord appeared to him by the terebinth trees of Mamre, as he was sitting in the tent door in the heat of the day.
2 So he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing by him; and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground,
3 and said, “My Lord, if I have now found favor in Your sight, do not pass on by Your servant.
4 Please let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree.
5 And I will bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh your hearts. After that you may pass by, inasmuch as you have come to your servant.” They said, “Do as you have said.”
6 So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah and said, “Quickly, make ready three measures of fine meal; knead it and make cakes.”
7 And Abraham ran to the herd, took a tender and good calf, gave it to a young man, and he hastened to prepare it.
8 So he took butter and milk and the calf which he had prepared, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree as they ate.
