Worship The Lord

After the flood had subsided on the earth, God told Noah to leave the ark for there was dry ground. It was time for them and all the animals to leave the boat and be fruitful and multiple on the earth. Everything was starting a new. It was a new start for God’s family to start over fresh on the earth. The Lord had a plan for all of them that remained. He had chosen the righteous to share His seed. Our Lord God is so mighty and can do all things to bring about His will on the earth. After people left the boat, many went their own way and later forgot the Lord. However, Noah, being a man after God’s heart didn’t forget God after settling on dry ground. Noah was faithful to God and was so grateful in this moment of being saved from the world. He saved them from all the evil on the earth. God had delivered these people because of His mercy. Noah’s heart was focused on the Lord. He desired to give God glory for his new life. His people were able to start a new life based on God’s word. When God delivers you from harm, remember Him. The Lord is so good to us but so many forget that it is God that gives us joy. Remember the Lord and give Him thanks. Come to Him in prayer often and worship Him. All we have is a gift from God.

Noah built an alter to the Lord to give thanks to God for His unfailing grace. His heart was so energized for the Lord. Therefore he took some of the seven of each clean animal that was on the ark and offered them to the Lord. The sweet smell of the aroma went up into the heavens. The Lord smelt it and said, “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done. While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.” This act of worship was meaningful to God. He saw Noah’s heart and that he loved Him. Noah was so grateful for all the wonderful things He had done for him and his people. Even though we no longer do burnt offerings to the Lord we are asked to sacrifice our life to Him. Sacrifice your time for God. Sacrifice your lustful desires for Him. Let Him heal your heart. He has power to save us all from temptation. He has power to deliver us from addiction. We can be forgiven of all sins if we repent. He will protect you from harm if you trust in Him. The Lord is our fortress. We can depend upon Him. Give Him thanks in worship, each day, for He is good.

Genesis 7:1-2
1 Then the Lord said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.
2 You shall take with you seven each of every clean animal, a male and his female; two each of animals that are unclean, a male and his female

Genesis 8:15-22
15 Then God spoke to Noah, saying,
16 “Go out of the ark, you and your wife, and your sons and your sons’ wives with you.
17 Bring out with you every living thing of all flesh that is with you: birds and cattle and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, so that they may abound on the earth, and be fruitful and multiply on the earth.”
18 So Noah went out, and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him.
19 Every animal, every creeping thing, every bird, and whatever creeps on the earth, according to their families, went out of the ark.
20 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
21 And the Lord smelled a soothing aroma. Then the Lord said in His heart, “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.
22 “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.”
