Love Is The Key

Through love, we become better followers of Jesus.  We become more committed to Him.  Because we love Him we know that we are saved through our faith.  We want to produce good fruits.  Three things that can strengthen us as Christians are developing a relationship with Jesus, correcting sinful behaviors, and loving as God does.  As we focus daily in these three areas He will sanctify us.  May we always show greater love to our Lord Jesus.

We need to come to the Lord often. We need to seek Him always. We need to thank Him when things are up and life is good.  We need to ask for His comfort when we are sad. We need to tell Him every day that we love Him. We need to pray for others in need so that Jesus may bless them.  We need to pray for His forgiveness when we fall short. We need to keep the Lord in our heart always. We need to seek His love, that it might overflow in us.

If we have found ourselves falling under sin we need to repent. We need to ask the Lord to deliver us. That our hearts may be turned from the addiction. That He might substitute His love in place of our lustful desires. We need to seek Him often so that we can be shielded from the enemy. That when Satan comes at us we can be ready. Having His word in our hearts is a shield when temptation is at its peak. His word combined with Christian music can really help deter the enemy. He won’t be any match for the love you have for Jesus.

There are many people in life that are in need of Christ’s love. They are in need of a simple hello or conversation. You never know what kind of day the person has had until you say hi to them. We need to get out of our comfort zone and show love to everyone. We need to share Jesus with anyone that desires Him in their lives. The Holy Spirit will help guide us to the right people. He will help you know what to say. Trust in God and He will use you to spread His love to the world. In all things love as Jesus loved. Be strong in Him so that His love will show in your life.

Matthew 22:36-40
36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”
37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
